It’s the most popular song lyric right now in the UK.
Netflix absolutely delivered with season 4 of their showcase series Stranger Things.
The scene where Kate Bush’s epic song takes center stage was featured on Gogglebox last night and the engagement and emotion people showed whilst watching was palpable (no spoilers).
The full chorus is 7 lines long, but the piece that’s often sung along to is when the running lyrics kick in.
Why is that? Is that when the lyrics become relatable for people?
And if I only could,
I’d make a deal with God,
And I’d get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
If I only could, oh…
I think it’s good to appreciate when people do an amazing job.
The music direction and creative vision of Stranger Things has always been good, but right now I think it’s the best it’s ever been.
They’ve done an amazing job 👏
Will it be enough to change the fortunes of Netflix?
Only time will tell…
